ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Last Sunday's, election of officers was one of the least contentious, better organized elections in recent memory. It was a far departure from the often haphazard and partisan atmosphere that had often characterized much of the Church's elections history. We can all be thankful and grateful to God for turning around the status quo. A lot of credit should go the resident minister, Rev. Samuel Nketsia who made sure to structure the order of worship in such a way as to mimize the loss of time. It worked wonderfully.

The electoral commissioner, Mr. Gilbert Asare and his team deserve some kudos as well. The following are the incoming members of church leaders. Bro. Daniel Asibuoh-Sarpong was nominated and confirmed as the new Lay Leader. He will be replacing Sis. Hannah Kusi. Bro. Eric Baah will head the struggling christian education committee. Bro. George Ansah has added responsibilities as the worship and evangelism committee chairperson after the two committees were merged. He was previously the evangelism committee chaiperson. Bro. Alfred Amponsem will chair the stewardship committee. Sis. Joyce Ackah will continue the work at the youth ministry as the new co-ordinator. Sis. Joycelyn Obeng Mcdade was confirmed as the new membership and welfare ministry chairperson.Sis. Evelyn Grace Parker will be taking over from Bro. Albert Osei-Owusu as the new archives and historical records chairperson. Sis. Stella Owusu is joining the finance committee as the Church's treasurer.
